Train with Us

We run three squad training sessions per week for club members

Mon: 6.30pm – 7.30pm

Wed: 6.30pm – 7.30pm

Sat: 9am – 10am

Location: Fitzroy Swimming Pool

Our Coaches

Our sessions are professionally coached by Coach Tracy

We are fortunate to be trained by a Swimming Australia Advanced Licence coach. Tracy has many years of experience training both age-group competitive and adult swimmers. You can find her smiling at the poolside in rain, hail or shine!

When Tracy is away, we are looked after by one of our cover coaches – Emil or Esten.

Session Costs

We aim to keep session costs low for our members

Non-Members

Session costs cover pool entry and coaching.

Swimming Ability Required

Am I good enough?

If you can swim 400m of Freestyle continuously, irrespective of speed, you are good enough to join us.

When you first start swimming with us, you may find the sessions quite hard. This is normal and will improve relatively quickly. It is OK to sit out some laps and rest, or even finish early, until you have built up some stamina.

Attending the Session

Attending for the first time

We understand it can be daunting turning up the first time to an activity / group you do not know. To help you feel more comfortable, one of our committee members will look out for you and introduce themselves.

Please:

  1. Bring your own equipment, especially a pull buoy
  2. Aim to arrive on deck 10 minutes early
  3. Introduce yourself to our friendly coach, Tracy, who will welcome you to the session, and help you to choose which squad lane is most suitable for your level.
  4. Enjoy your swim!
