At the Roughies, our members have a diverse range of swimming goals – pool competitions, open water, triathlete, cross trainer, fitness, social, or simply wellbeing and balance.
Join us your way — with our affordable Club Membership, or go further with Masters Swimming Victoria Membership, which includes your Club Membership and opens the door to a wide range of benefits of belonging to a state & national organisation.
We also cater for regional swimmers who wish to compete with our club, but due to their location, are unable to participate in many of the club’s activities.

We enable regional Victorians to join us as an MSV member
Are you wanting to compete as part of a club but have no suitable options in your area? We offer a remote MSV membership to get you back on the blocks and back to what you love.
Yarra Roughies Remote MSV Member
For members living in regional Victoria who primarily wish to access MSV benefits
- Limited squad access – enjoy a handful of squad sessions each year at member rates (if visiting Melbourne)
- Inclusion of all other member benefits – although you live too far away to train with us, you are still a valued member of the club, and will be included into all communication and welcome to attend any social, open water, special events if visiting the city.
- Full MSV benefits – competitions, recognition programs, national community, and insurance cover
