As part of MSA’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025, the 50x50x50 Challenge was born – a fitting way for members to push themselves while marking this milestone. The concept was simple but demanding, requiring participants to swim a continuous session of at least 2.5km, in any stroke or combination, once a week for as many weeks as possible throughout 2025.

Four tiers of possible achievement were announced at the start of the challenge:

1. Platinum – 50+ weeks completed
2. Gold – 45–49 weeks completed
3. Silver – 40–44 weeks completed
4. Bronze – 35–39 weeks completed

Three of our Roughy MSV members stepped up to the challenge – Jacqui H, Alan, and Lisa. Despite injuries, illnesses, holidays, crazy work schedules, and all the other curveballs life threw at them during the year, all three achieved Platinum! That’s 50+ weeks of showing up, diving in, and getting it done!
